PL896/12 1969 #43 Ford Torina Talledega Richard Petty (F/S) $30.00
1/25 (2012 issue) 1969 East Tennessee Motors Ford Torino Talledega driven by Richard Petty. Legend has it that "King
Richard" asked Chrysler for a more aerodynamic Roadrunner for 1969. Ford had dominated the 1968 Daytona 500 with
their more aerodynamic race cars. Plymouth basically offered him a revamped '68 Roadrunner. He asked a second time,
and Plymouth said no a second time. Next thing you know Petty and Company are off to Ford Motor Company driving a
Petty Blue Torino Talledega. The short-lived Polar Lights Nascar kits are already legendary for their high level of detail
and authenticity.
FEATURES:
Includes two complete engines to choose from (427 or 429)
Fully detailed chassis and interior, and many chrome plated parts
